Philippine Math Teams Win With MSHS Students

Three Manila Science High School students received awards as part of the Philippine contingents, which recently topped two international math competitions. Mikhail Anthony G. Padua and Gelli A. Domingo took home bronze medals as part of the Philippine team that won first place in the 12th International Mathematics Contest (IMC) while Leomer Aljohn R. Cionelo also won bronze at the 2016 International Mathematics Wizard Challenge (IMWiC).

The IMC was held in Singapore last July 29 to August 1 where the Philippines bagged 208 medals and 120 merit awards besting 12 other countries. On the other hand, the IMWiC was staged in Bangkok, Thailand with the Philippines securing 240 medals and 87 merit awards, ranking the Filipino math wizards at second place among 9 other countries.
